George Pearson (George Formby) finds it a ticklish task to tell his domineering and possessive mother that he's going to get married to lovely Lydia (Peggy Bryan). She collapses on the spot when she hears the news - but recovers enough to go on the honeymoon with the unlucky couple! Then things go from bad to worse when gormless George looks like losing his job. Too bad he's just invested his life savings in a new cloth that may just be worthless!
