Hemel Pike (Corbett) is the Casanova of the canals, with a girl at every lock. However, when he gets one girlfriend pregnant, her lock-keeper father threatens to close down the canals and create the largest canal barge traffic jam the world has ever seen...unless the guilty party owns up and does the decent thing!
