"1973's Carry on Christmas may have a dull, used-before title, but it is a truly wonderful Carry On that can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Its main claim to fame is the ballerina sequence, which is unusual and well executed, but personally I've never found it that funny. The other sketches are a different matter - funny, heart-warming and full of energy. You are given the distinct impression that there was nowhere else these actors would rather be, they revel in each other's company so much that you are carried away with the collective enthusiasm that spills from the screen. In the final scene they all fall out of character and wave goodbye into the camera, this must be one of the most lovely moments in Carry On history - its brief admittedly, but very touching. The last Christmas special and the best."-Tuxford, England
