Percy Winthram (Harry H. Corbett) and his mates are "up for the cup". Their team is playing at Wembley in the Cup Final - but they've got more than soccer on their minds. They've all heard about the bright lights of London's Soho - and if their team doesn't score they certainly intend to!Stumbling into a seedy strip club Ginger (Michael Medwin), Percy's best friend, bets him that he can't sleep with the stylish blonde hostess Cyrenne (Diane Cilento).
Percy is a nervous bumbling wreck around women - but Cyrenne finds this charming and invites him home with her. Everything seems to be going right for Percy... until Cyrenne's crazy Italian family decide to kidnap her to save her from herself. As the night descends into hilarious madcap farce, Percy must decide between his passion for Cyrenne and the safety of the coach back to Manchester...

Summary: One of my all time favorite movies, with wonderful British Humor!
Saw this movie in 1967 or 1968 while deployed to the Western Pacific aboard USS Ranger. When this movie arrived, all thought it was a "clunker." Turned out to be what we called "a real sleeper." Wonderful tale of turning the tables on a bunch of people who want to make a fool of someone, totally at the victims expense, and fail miserably, and they then become victims of their own stupidity. British humor woven splendidly into all the plots. Would love to acquire a copy.
